  1. You suggest solving a pain point is really important, but I’m curious how that aligns with your major success in the print on demand sector? What pain point did your POD business address? Similarly, what pain points do the countless Teespring, etc. success stories address?

    Honestly, this “pain point” mantra I constantly see repeated seems overstated. As far as I can tell, marketing trumps all.

      In terms of POD and solving pain points…you’re putting something in front of a customer you know they’ll love. The pain point in this situation is that they are unable to express themselves to everyone they walk past, in this case, a loud print does all the talking for them.

      People want to be heard, they want to be a part of something bigger than themselves, and decent PODers allow these people to do just that by giving them designs no one else has come up with.

      Marketing at the end of the day does trump all. But you can only market something someone wants, you can polish a turd all you want with your marketing and fancy ad setups etc but ultimately you need a product that people MUST have. Finding that product is the hardest part. It’s only through the process and throwing stuff at the wall that you get better at finding what sticks.
